Chicken wraps make for the perfect lunch meal. Protein, veggies, carbs, everything you need to keep your energy up during the day and the options for flavor is endless.
These wraps can be made with leftover chicken from the night before, frozen chicken strips you may have lying in your freezer or really any thing thats easy. Whichever option you choose, be sure to heat the chicken prior to assembling.
I use fresh, uncooked tortillas – Tortilla Land to be exact – and they just need to be cooked stovetop in a pan for about 10 seconds per side before eating. If using already cooked tortillas I still recommend throwing them in a pan for a couple seconds or microwaving so that you have soft and warmed tortillas prior to assembling your wraps. This will also make it easy to wrap the tortilla once filled.
Some other ingredients that would be delicious to add to this recipe:
avocado slices
chopped tomatoes
red onion instead of green if you’d like
crispy bacon
you can also experiment with fun tortillas such as a spinach wrap or tomato basil!
